Last weekend I found my self a the annual Amish Auction just out side of Rexford MT, across Lake Koocanusa. What an experience. I felt like a visitor to a new country, the Amish have always been mysterious to me how they keep to themselves, but in all honesty I didn't know that much about them. It was really great to be welcomed into their world with open arms. The Amish people are some of the nicest people I have meet. Their lifestyle is simple and orderly. The auction its self was to raise money for a new Amish school. They sold log cabins (which were beautiful), handcrafted quilts, hand carved wooden furniture, and had some delicious home cooked grub!
